What makes Bradenton different
The condominium carve-out was removed in 2023, so condo owners who believe they are exempt usually are not. A new Certificate of Registration is required within 15 days of an ownership transfer — a seller's registration does not carry over. Manatee County states it has no collection agreement with Airbnb, Vrbo or Evolve, so owners must collect and remit the 6% tourist tax themselves.
Unincorporated Manatee County had no adopted short-term rental ordinance as of September 2026, but the County Commission was actively debating one.
